Blanco Trade Days will be in Yett Park to the south of Blanco. The market will
be under a pavilion in case of inclement
weather and the vendors will have set up on the picnic tables provided. Children’s
play facilities are included in the pavilion, as
a washrooms. Pets are welcome. External interests include hiking trails, swimming,
and camping in the Blanco State Park and
Blanco River, lavender farms and working ranches, a cooking school, a micro-brewery,
the Old Blanco County Courthouse
and many antique stores.

Repticon Houston will be at the Pasadena Convention Center and Fairgrounds on
Houston's eastern periphery. It will feature
a selection reptiles, amphibians, and pet products from across the South, as
well as providing a number of seminars and

presentation). Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

22nd Annual Bobby Norris Roundup for Autism

Bobby Norris Roundup for Autism
The Roundup for Autism is a three day event spanning the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to be held September 9th, 10th, and 11th, 2010. The Roundup was founded in 1988 by Bobby Norris (in honor of his daughter who has autism) and is solely designed to raise funds for the Autism Treatment Centers of Texas (ATC). Over the years, the Roundup for Autism has raised over $2 million dollars and has become one of the largest autism-related fundraising events in the State of Texas. The event’s Honorary Chairmen are Laura and Mayor Tom Leppert.
Thursday, September 9th will commence Roundup for Autism festivities in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District with a Ranch Sorting competition from 8 am to 8 pm at Cowtown Coliseum. At 4:30 pm, a VIP Sponsor and Media Kick-off Party will be held at Rodeo Exchange Club.

Friday, September 10th marks another exciting day in the Stockyards. At 6 pm, spectators will line the streets to find a Parade of cowboys, saloon girls, Flamenco dancers, cheerleaders, and many more exciting participants marching up Exchange Avenue. The Roundup for Autism Parade will be led by Founder, Bobby Norris, and the Lone Star Pony Express. Roundup celebrities will lead the street-lined crowd directly to Cowtown Coliseum for the Roundup for Autism Celebrity Rodeo to begin at 7:30 pm. Celebrities will try their hand at events such as team roping, team penning, and professional bull riding. Celebrities include Barry Corbin, Larry Mahan, J.W. Hart, Tuf Cooper, Cody Lambert, and many more. Oscar winner, Robert Duvall is the honorary invited guest.

Saturday, September 11th is the final day for the weekend Roundup for Autism events. The Pegasus Ball, a black-tie formal event, will be held in the Regency Ballroom of the Fairmont Dallas hotel beginning at 6 pm. Live entertainment from the Roof Raisers band, live and silent auctions, and fine-dining will ensure this night will be memorable for all.
