Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival, the parade features bands from high, middle and elementary schools, floats, The Festival is held on Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, the end of the Parade route. There will be live music and dancing. In addition, there will be a wide variety of vendor booths: Irish Organizations, Irish jewelry and other trinkets, food vendors, children's games and activities.

NC African American Cultural Festival Oxford, North Carolina April 24th NC African American Cultural Festival
NC African American Cultural Festival The Second Annual North Carolina African American Cultural Festival will take place April 24, 2010 in Oxford. The Festival kicks off with a Parade at 10am on Hillsboro Street tending at the Festival site on Spring Street.
The Festival will run from 11am - 4pm and is offering a variety of foods, art displays, children’s activities and health screenings. We are proud to feature a variety of musical performances, comedy acts, spoken word and dramatic skits.
There will also be a Fashion Show, Antique Car Show and Hat Contest. Men and women participating in the Hat Contest will be introduced on stage during the Festival before trophies are awarded. The categories are: Best Looking (men and women); Classy; Most Original; Vintage; You Go Girl! (women only) and Most Dapper Dude (men only).
The event is free and open to the public.
