New Jersey Folk Festival featuring great folk singers, a Singer-Songwriter Showcase, Craft Demonstration Tent, wide variety of food vendors that represent the ethnic diversity of New Jersey, juried craft market, usually comprising about 100 booths. Each vendor's work has been carefully screened for top-notch quality and its traditional nature. Typical crafts are woodworking, basket weaving, blacksmithing, dulcimer making, wool spinning, leather works, jewelry, pottery, stained glass and more,
The festival takes time to ensure the kids are kept happy with the following Activities
Clown, Free Face Painting, Water in a Bucket, Ring in the Sponge, Ping Pong Drop, Baton Pass, Egg on a Spoon, Potato Sack Race,Over and Under Relay, Tug of War and a Pie Eating Contest .
The festival is part of Rutgers University Ag Field Day and the University at Rutgers Day.
The NJFF is one of only a handful of folk festivals in the U.S. managed by undergraduate students.
