Central Montana Fair
The Fair’s web site has pages of information on its horse show, calf dressing,
sheep riding and commercial exhibits. The Fergus
County Fairgrounds are in Lewistown, and you can buy the carnival and fair tickets
online. Music, games, rodeos, the 4-H
Livestock judging and sale and motorsports are a few of its other activities.

The Sheridan home page can guide you through the Fair in its Activities and
Schedule pages, which give a brief rundown of
what you will find there as well as the timings. Events start at 6am, and tend
to finish mid-evening (although Saturday’s ‘After
Rodeo Music and Dancing in the Beer Gardens’ is likely to go beyond that).
Each evening has Lou’s Traveling Zoo and
Sports Zone. Generally, you will be able to find everything from live concerts,
PRCA Rodeo, demolition derby, mud run,
bump 'n run, food, kids area, parade, youth livestock and sale to a horse show
at Plentywood.

Easily navigated, the Montana State Fair’s homepage will give you information
on its youth and livestock exhibits, quilts,
Critter in Costume competition, culinary and livestock awards. It’s musical
acts will be the U.S. Marine Corps Band, Darius
Rucker, Styx, Luke Bryan, Lifehouse, LeAnn Rimes, Keith Anderson and Clay Walker.
The grandstand will be hosting a
PRCA rodeo, and horse racing. You can also watch a hypnotist, pig racing, Cowgirl
Tricks and the Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull.

The
Big Sky Country Fair and Arts Festival
Previously known as the Big Sky Country Fair, the event is now called the Big
Sky Country Fair and Arts Festival, and has
been moved into the center of Big Sky Town Center from its earlier location
of the community park and pavilion. You will find
a variety of area musicians, and a mixed bag of arts and craftsmen. As a newcomer
to the Fair you will find yourself with your
favorite events, and the 5k Race, Parade, local and regional artists have been
put into the new venue. Accommodation and
